CHRISTMAS TREE

PENDANT

Designed by Debbie Frost

2. Move the pliers to each side in turn and bend the wire outwards the opposite way. Now using a ruler measure each of the outward sides for 1 cm each side and bend the wire upward at the 1cm mark on each side cross the wires at about 4cm then bend the wires at the cross point straight upwards. Next make a loop with the round nose pliers to close the frame of your Christmas tree.

3. Now you need the thinner wire (0.02mm) cut about 40cm at least and starting at the bottom (pot end of the pendant ) wrap the wire around 3 or four times at one side of the pot thread on 3 crystals in the lighter colour then wrap the wire 3 times, then add 3 more crystals and wrap across to the other side of the pot.

4. Wrap the wire around the bottom of the tree about 6 times which will take to the corner of the frame, next thread on some green seed beads and then a darker crystal a few more green seed beads then a light coloured crystal then more green seed beads then wrap across to the other side of the frame a couple of times . Keep working in this way up your frame with the random crystals which are the lights on the tree.

When you get to the top wrap the wire around a few times to secure it in place.

5. Starting on the opposite side of the frame just above the corner add a new piece of the thinner wire (0.02mm) about 30 cm , wrap about 3 times on the right side of the frame in between the first two rows add 4 pearls and then 1 light crystal then 4 more pearls then 1 crystal , wrap the wire around the left side of the frame two rows up but this time you want it to hang like Christmas tinsel . Keep working up the tree wrapping on row 6 on the right , row 8 on the left , row 10 on the right and then on the top by the loop add a crystal at the top , your tree pendant is now finished

6. Add a jump ring to the bail and then to the loop on the Christmas tree .

7. To make the necklace cut the chain to a comfortable length add a jump ring to one end and then thread the chain through the bail with the Christmas tree on it and then attach a jump ring to the chain.

1. Using the thickest wire (0.60mm) cut a 15mm length, next find the centre and bend both sides of the wire upwards to a 90 degree angle.
