I designed and made this necklace when I was visiting my son recently. I used Swarovski Crystals and Beads bought by Beads Direct.

This is my Halloween spider ring. It is made using gold plated copper wire which is woven to create the shank. For the body I used tigers eye for protection and green Quartz which is said to transmute negative energies into positive ones. Spiders, since ancient times have been used as a symbol for power and strength. I do run quite a long way when I see a real one though!

It was a challenge to macrame with elastic, but I can see how this technique would work with other materials. Based on a tutorial by DeGroot.
