Technology Corner:
Using Evernote To Clear Your Mind
By: Samantha Pointer
Do you lay awake at night or find it hard to get to sleep because you have
a ton of things on your mind? Are you overwhelmed with information or
trying to make plans in your head?
Well, stop it! There
is a better way and it
involves using one of
my favorite apps.
I use Evernote to do
my brain dumps.
Now you may ask
yourself," What is
a brain dump?" A
brain dump is a way
to get all the ideas
buzzing around in
your head on paper
or on an electronic device. It helps you determine what is important and
what to put on the back burner. It is one of the best ways to empty your
brain when you feel overwhelmed by your mental list.
I like doing my brain dumps on an electronic device because it is easier
than looking around for pen and paper.
Especially when you are on the go, it is more convenient.
I know it's true if you write it down on paper then it sticks better in your
head. So, use pen and paper if you prefer.
Yet, I am going to show you how to use Evernote to capture your brain
dump, even if you still use pen and paper.
Did you know that when ideas stay in our head we deal with them on an
emotional level? That's why they are so powerful and cause overwhelm
and sleepless nights.
