Short history of College technology
By 2010 education was undergoing some rapid changes. Advances in science and technology in the wider society led to new understandings about education.
In response, by 2011 interactive whiteboards were placed in almost every classroom. The laptop program began the following year. The aim was simple: to ensure that within the next three years every student at the College would have their own laptop computer to use as a tool to support their learning.
In 2012 an important new leadership team was formed to support both students and teachers in their use of technology. The eLeaders team was an important technical support group motivated by a desire to help others in the use of technology. This ebook was created by a small group of eLeaders from 2017.
In 2015 another important student leadership group was formed - the Media Managers.
