Retirements often come in waves; indeed, last year four cherished senior faculty
members retired from Shenandoah. As this academic year ends, we say goodbye to
eight more extraordinary members of the faculty who have guided students across our
educational spectrum, from the liberal arts to the performing arts, from the health
professions to the world of business. All combined, they have given a total of 170
years of service, ranging from five to 53 years!
These faculty members have guarded Shenandoah's
mission and nurtured its academic quality so that our
institution is far better than when they arrived. Time
and space allow me here to only mention two.
