Jeremiah Shaw ’ 11 was appointed artist-in-residence at San Diego State University . He joined the cello and chamber music faculty at the San Diego State University School of Music and Dance in fall 2012 . In addition to his appointment in San Diego , Shaw joined the Hausmann Quartet in the summer of 2012 .
2012 the treasurer for BCEA . She has five years of classroom experience teaching fifth grade at Orchard View Intermediate School in Martinsburg , W . Va ., and is a recent nominee for Berkeley County Schools ’ Teacher of the Year .
Kim McDonald ’ 12 joined the staff of the Office of Human Resources at Shenandoah as the Human Resources and Benefits Manager . McDonald was most recently employed by the City of Winchester . She is a native of Winchester , and for many years she worked for her family ’ s business , McDonald ’ s Farm Market .
Mannar Al-Omari ’ 12 welcomed his daughter , Nourah Alrebia , June 13 , 2012 .
Emily Crider Burner ’ 15 and her husband , Bob , welcomed their first child , Jaclyn Elizabeth , November 26 . She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and was 21 inches in length .
Ben Lukas NG and his band , Metric Halo , have been named to several Best Unsigned Artist lists and have recently released their debut album and second music video . The band made a homecoming trip called “ A Taste of NYC Tour ” with January Jane and Midnight Mob last winter . Lukas is married to fellow alumna Melissa Mitchell ’ 06 .

Occupational Therapy alumni Elizabeth Daulton ’ 12 , Mary Beth Bray ’ 12 and Erick Cranney ’ 12 attended the annual conference of the Virginia Occupational Therapy Association in Wintergreen , Va . They attended this conference with then Director and Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy Deborah Marr .
Sarah Eaton ’ 12 is a counselor in the TRIO department at Lord Fairfax Community College . She works with at-risk students who are either low income , first generation or have a disability . Eaton offers counseling and advising services to these students , as well as planning academic workshops and cultural events for the group . She expects her caseload to be about 100 students this spring .
Abdel Elidrissi ’ 12 is an international admissions counselor in the Office of International Admissions at Shenandoah . Elidrissi joined the Admissions Office in June as a graduate admissions counselor and assumed this new role last winter . Elidrissi also became a citizen of the United States in January . Congratulations !
Hannah Gall ’ 12 is a critical-care nurse at Winchester Medical Center .

Marilee Pittman ’ 12 is engaged to marry David Clemons . Clemons proposed November 21 , the same date his father and brother proposed to their wives . Pittman is in her first year of pharmacy school at Shenandoah . Clemons , a graduate of The Ohio State University , is an associate project manager at Henkels & McCoy in Sparta , N . J .
Patrick “ Packy ” Purcell ’ 12 and Caroline Staples ’ 12 are engaged to be married . Purcell proposed to Staples in January , and says that “... I managed to have the most amazing woman fall in love with me .”
Samantha Robson ’ 12 was hired as a part-time assistant in the Athletic Communications Office at Shenandoah .
Jessica Stepien ’ 12 received Shenandoah ’ s Outstanding Graduate Alumni Award for Physical Therapy during the August awards ceremony . Melissa Jennings ’ 10 presented the award .
