Camps are divided into three groups: regular, specialty and art. Campers are divided into age blocks, with offerings for ages 4K-5th, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th. All camps offer up-close animal encounters and guided tours of the Zoo; specialty camps will introduce campers to Zoo Keeping. Before and after care is offered and lunch can be purchases on site for the campers. Limited scholarships may be available. Programs are divided into helping catch students up or pushing them further ahead. Math specific courses are given. Programs are offered for students not yet in school (3) to students working on heading to college (seniors). Camp Straight Street (voted Parent Choice Magazine’s Best Day Camp) offers nine weeks of day camp and one week of overnight camp for kids 5K to 8th grade. Camp offers a variety of activities from games, skits, outdoor play, team sports, crafts and bible study. Special days offer extra fun including a dress up and movie day. Early care, late care and a lunch plan are offered. Students are divided into age groups. Sessions are typically held from 9am-12pm. Camps can be done in half day or full day, with extended care offered. Preschool students have a wide range of theme week camps from gardening, Legos, dance and baking. Older groups 1st to 8th grade camps are geared towards sports and exploration in the early summer and theater; arts and biology camps occur in later summer. Cameron Oak Farms offers varied camps throughout the summer. Beginners ages 8 and up can learn to ride and care for horses between July 21st- 24th. Advanced beginners can work on their horse and art skills June 16th-20th. Youngest riders can enjoy a 2 day beginner horse camp- and even ride a unicorn. Cameron Oaks Farm will also add a spend-the-night camp for intermediate – advanced riders 12+, date to be announced.
