The Great Campout
On Saturday, June 28th
thousands of families across the
nation will pitch tents in their
own backyard to take part in
the Great American Backyard
Campout. The one night event
is organized by the National
Wildlife Federation, with the
goal to get kids and families into
nature. The National Wildlife
Federation declares that kids
need to spend more time in
nature. They are challenging
families nationwide to dust off
the tent, unroll the sleeping
bags for some quality family
fun in your own backyard.
For more information go to,
backyardcampout.org.
Make sure to visit your local
library and sign your kids up
for their 2014 summer
reading program.
