How We Met
Lee and I had a mutual friend , but the first time I really noticed him was at the softball field . I was on first base , and Lee was in the stands waiting for his game to start . During the game , he was cracking jokes at me and had everyone in the stands laughing- including my mom ! After the game , my mom asked did I know the “ hilarious guy in the stands ” because he seemed to be “ my type .” We then technically ” hung out ” our first time at Apple Annies in Florence . After giving me a ride home that night , I gave him my number . The rest is history !
After he had taken me home that night , I invited him to visit me at the beach one night while I was there on family vacation . When he arrived at the door , I rushed out so he wouldn ’ t have to meet my entire family on our first date ! He took me to a restaurant where we talked for hours . We hit it off so much that he invited me to the beach with his friends for July Fourth week . After spending that week together , I knew he was the one for me ..
Falling In Love
I always said I wanted to find someone that can make me happy on my worst days , and I found that with Lee . He is constantly making me laugh and whenever I am with him , I always have a smile on my face . His personality is also so much like mine , that we always have the best time together , even if it is just sitting at home on a Friday night . flowers by starks flowers
The Proposal
Lee had planned on proposing to me at his house . Our black Lab was all dressed up in a bowtie and was going to be part of our proposal . I was supposed to drive over to his house once I got ready , but that didn ’ t go as planned . I worked the night before and took a nap as soon as I got home and ended up oversleeping ! When I woke up , I had multiple missed calls from him wondering why I wasn ’ t on the way to his house . I ruined the plan ! Quickly , Lee changed the plans and came to pick me up . We always eat dinner with my family on Friday nights , so Lee drove us to Redbone Alley . Little did I know both families had gathered at the restaurant along with some close family friends . I was confused when we walked in after seeing everybody but assumed it was a get-together for my mom ’ s birthday . We walked into the room with the gazebo , and with all of our loved ones around , Lee got down on one knee and proposed . I was in shock , and our family and friends were just as surprised . I was over-the-moon-excited ! So much so that I couldn ’ t even eat dinner that night . It meant so much to have both families there to witness that special moment . CONTINUED >>
