How We Met
We met while attending pharmacy school at South University in 2011 . He sat in front of me , but we didn ’ t talk much in the beginning . Our pharmacy curriculum was broken into quarters because we attended year round school . After each quarter was over , most of our class would get together and go out somewhere to celebrate the end of another quarter . In November of 2011 , the second quarter of was ending , and my classmates and I went out to celebrate . By the end of the night , Brett and I had traded numbers . We officially started dating that following January and have been together ever since .
The Proposal
Falling In Love
From the very beginning , I could tell that Brett was different . I don ’ t know that there was one particular moment that lead me to the believe he was “ the one .” I could list multiple adjectives , situations , and occasions here and it just wouldn ’ t do him justice because there ’ s not just one thing that made me fall for him . He is genuine and honest . He loves with his whole heart . He is completely selfless and would do anything for anyone , friend or stranger .
Brett proposed on May 16 , 2015 . I had a few errands to run that day . While I was busy with those , he stopped in and asked my parents for their blessing before asking me to be his wife . He called me that afternoon and asked if I wanted to go out for sushi later that night . I didn ’ t think much of it because this was something that we frequently did . We went to dinner ; he acted normal . When we left , he told me he had a surprise for me . The funny thing about this is that I opened my fortune cookie , and it also said I was going to “ receive a high prize .” He didn ’ t plant that fortune cookie , I just somehow ended up with that fortune ! He took me to Kalmia Gardens and told me he wanted to walk around . We had been talking about doing this for a while but hadn ’ t found the time . When we were by the pond , he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him . CONTINUED >>
