L Lindsay and Chase chose Hidden Acres as their venue. “We chose it because of the beautiful rustic chapel on site. Before we booked it, we had never been to a wedding there. But, we knew when we were doing a walk-through that it was perfect for us. Hidden Acres was actually the first thing we booked, and (since their facilities were so popular) the earliest date available was August 2015. Donny Gerald strives to make the big day flawless. He was in constant close contact – not only during the wedding day, but prior to it, updating us on lodging upgrades as well as the ballroom.” The next important step was to find her perfect dress, an Oleg Cassini lace mermaid gown, which was actually the first one she tried on. Even though it wasn’t in her size, she couldn’t imagine walking down the aisle in anything else. “After going to two more boutiques and trying on numerous other wedding dresses, I knew the first dress was it!” It fit perfectly with Chase’s Vera Wang black tux and sea foam tie. “I chose the sea foam color scheme to contrast with the rustic wooden buildings, yet complement the white hydrangeas of the decor.” The bouquets and boutonnières were adorned with hydrangeas and greenery to maintain a neutral feel. August 8 arrived, and Lindsay couldn’t wait to say “I do!” to her new husband in front of 185 guests. “The feelings I experienced that day are nearly indescribable. I finally saw what I had envisioned in books coming to life. I felt everything from joy and excitement to being overwhelmed!” Lindsay looked even more gorgeous in her gown when her hair and makeup were completed. Her something old and borrowed was provided by her friend Ashley Vincent, who passed on her bridal jewelry for the day. Lindsay’s garter was blue and her wedding veil was new. During the ceremony, Lindsay and Chase said their vows and gave each other beautiful rings by Mark Lexton at Southern Jewelry Design. “Mine is a cushion-cut solitaire diamond with a pavé diamond band. Chase has a titanium ring with a deer antler inlay. Chase had a general idea of what I liked as far as engagement rings, and he literally hit the nail on the head with the one he got. After choosing the stone, he found Mark’s store being most helpful with deciding on the perfect band to complement it.”  CONTINUED SHEMAGAZINE.COM FEBRUARY 2016 69
