Selfish
Okay, so if you have absolutely no responsibilities in this life, you can not appreciate nor respect anything or anyone who does. The evidence of that is crystal clear when you take a look around at what is going on in this country today. How can someone who has never had to work for anything a day in their life respect and appreciate the one who busts their hump from sun up to sundown just to keep a roof over their head, food on their plate and clothes on their back? They don’t, period. Even those that do work, once they feel that someone is beneath them, will disrespect those at lower level positions. The customer will flat out disrespect the cashier, not having worked in retail before. People will hire out and treat their staff as if that is the only job their lives are clinging to. The child will disrespect the parent when there is no structure, no chores, no responsibilities and no cares.
It’s a never ending battle that is rolling downhill. But WHY? One word, “Selfish”! Everyone is out for themselves. Oh, we’re okay as long as we’re both on the same level, even though in the back of my mind I’m saying I do this so much better. But if you rise one level above me or vice versa, I don’t even know you and back in the day when we were kickin’ it; you were fake anyway. It’s almost predictable if you pay close attention to who you are around because this is not everyone; but the numbers are steadily increasing as opposed to decreasing.
