feedback must be engaged at all times.

Younger entry level players may receive their analysis better in a “match of the day” highlights style whereas advanced competitive players may receive their analysis better in a “cold hard facts” style. Whereas other information will be shared on a team basis to ensure the consensus of the whole group.

So, what or who do you need to begin analysing your players?

Well, speaking from experience you could probably manage a few short videos yourself but when it comes to games and analysing on a greater scale with tangible data you will need to employ the services of a company like STATS (Cape Town).

Companies such as these give you full performance data services and the ability to re-watch the game anywhere via many platforms. You could get your own wonder goal clip to go viral too.

REMARKABLES FC

Off the back of the 2010 world cup, a group of twenty five year old female students from the Architecture masters class at the University of Cape Town decided they were bored of watching their male classmates play 5-a-side every week, and wanted to play themselves.

None of them had played football previously because they went to traditional South African schools where football was not a school sport (even for the boys) so they asked one of their classmates, Mark to coach them – hence the name, Remarkables.

Over the years, this has grown into what it is today; a football community for women across the country!
