One of the most notable is a product used internationally called Speed Dowel that efficiently and effectively secures concrete joints. A Speed Dowel consists of a plastic base Shaw & Sons patented deck pour system. that attaches to an edge form, typically matching rebar schedules. A plastic sleeve slides over the base, and concrete is placed and finished. When the form is removed, the plastic base is also removed to reveal the open end of the Speed Dowel tube. Next, a steel dowel is placed in the Lithocrete® Bianco Nero. Speed Dowel tube and the second pour is placed and finished, creating a doweled joint with proper alignment (per A.C.I 224.3R-20 5.2.4 and A.C.I. 302.1R-103.2.7 and A.C.I.224.3R-20 5.2.4.3). Load Transfer dowel system is patented and similar to Speed Dowel except it’s manufactured for monolithic dowel placement.
