This proven design uses typical checkerboard or strip pour methods and subsequently conforms L-shape panels that secure one end to the existing sub-slab and floats the other end by Fas Dowel TM doweling horizontally into the next panel . This secures one end to the sub-slab vertically with an epoxied dowel and the other end horizontally with a slip dowel into the next panel that is secured again vertically by epoxied dowels into the existing structural deck .
Specification 19 was used to construct the steps and Specification 12 secures the topping slabs and eliminates cracking and curling . For the overall finish , Specification 9 provided a lightly profiled surface .
