Craftsmen Specification 5 - Small Ground Profile Craftsmen specification large and small ground profiles both share the same technology with the exception that in order to use very small aggregates , small ground profile may introduce presto technology in order to get a more uniform grind or polish . When very small sand size ground finish is desired , we blend the cement paste with select small material and reapply the mix with a material sprayer onto the plastic placed mix . This methodology insures uniformity . We also finish the very small aggregate or sand finishes to a minimum FF 50 up to FF120 floor flatness . This is extremely important in order to prevent grinding into the coarse integral aggregate that is in the base mix . The three samples in the photo show the difference of the profiles and the importance of securing the integral aggregate with the presto mix on fine aggregate finishes . The base mix is a different color to show the presto lens .
