MGM Johnson Fain Mia Lehrer + Associates Anna Valentina Murch Hathaway Dinwiddie
On March 26 2014 we lost a good friend of ours , Anna Valentina Murch , to cancer . We are currently in the process of finishing one of her many wonderful projects , “ Oasis ”. Sometimes people work with us and we get the job done , and other times , people mesh with us and a higher level of design and construction is achieved . Both Anna and her husband , Douglas Hollis , are special people who have that rare gift . This gift manifests in each , unique piece of artwork they are involved in and leave behind .
We are so thankful to have worked with her and to become her friend . Anna had that rare eye and the collective ability to entertain new materials and put them to use with commonplace materials to become not only a beautiful sculpture , but also durable and with purpose . Anna was never afraid to get her hands dirty and was the first to jump in the concrete pour with John Wills , Javier Garcia and myself when we began placing and layering the walls at Constellation Place ( formerly MGM Tower ) and she became such an integral part of what we were creating through sharing her knowledge , love and care with our entire crew .
