The Broad museum , designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro is a recently complete contemporary art museum in downtown Los Angeles .
Shaw & Sons provided the honed and polished custom Type II / III / V cement concrete slabs for the first , second and third floors of the museum . Special procedures and surface seeded sand give the floors a consistent evenly polished floor with floor flatness values greater than 75 on average , many of the completed floors reached FF 120 , exceeding the specified values of FF 50 . Shaw and Sons also provided the exterior front entry hardscape from the building line to the back of the city walks .
