Lawndale Community Center
Owner : City of Lawndale Architect : Robert Coffee and Associates
Located on a corner block in the Lawndale Civic Center , this three-story community center is designed to maximize the use of its small urban site and to complete the civic center complex . The building entry is located on the corner and is defined by a three-story circular elevator lobby offering a visual connection to the City Hall , Library and Civic Plaza across the street .
L . Q . S . was chosen to fully enhance the vehicular driveways , parking , and to transform them seamlessly as a beautiful working plaza . A LithoMosaic of the city logo by artist Robin Brailsford was also installed by Shaw & Sons .
