Santa Monica Place was renovated in 2008 ; updating the mall and removing the roof . Shaw & Sons provided architectural concrete hardscapes using various different Lithocrete finishes such as shells , L . Q . S ., Presto Pneumatic silica carbide and Presto Wall Finish on three levels .
