The 210,000 square-foot California Endowment Headquarters complex includes a four-story office tower and a multipurpose facility . A landscaped plaza is located between the office tower and community center . The basement level includes a 61,000 square-foot parking space . The project was completed three months ahead of schedule and within the allocated budget . The California Endowment received a LEED certification based on the center ’ s sustainable site , water efficiency , energy and atmosphere , conservation materials and resources , indoor environmental quality and innovation , and design process . Everything from public transportation access to water efficient landscaping and recycled content materials came together to create this highly sustainable property .
Due to its esthetics , durability and longevity , Lithocrete was chosen for the California Endowment project which was awarded “ Building of the Year ” by the Los Angeles Chapter of the AIA .
