The two existing 44-story office towers , originally designed by Minoru Yamasaki , were in need of refurbishment to integrate with the recently renovated 2000 Avenue of the Stars towers . Keating Khang Architects and SWA Group were retained to create a new image for the twin towers . This included modernization of the existing elevator lobbies , creating a new valet drop-off area and auto turnaround , as well as the removal of the existing travertine plaza . The plaza was replaced with Cibola Gold Lithocrete to match the existing plaza and park of 2000 Avenue of the Stars . The radius auto court wall incorporates Shaw & Sons ’ Presto Wall and our cast-in-place wall cold-joint detail .
