Oceansafe ® - Both photos feature Oceansafe installations capturing more than 2 ½ inches of rainwater on site . California State Bill 790 ( SB-790 ) requires capturing first ¾-inch or “ first flush ” of rainwater for all new developments over three-quarters of an acre . Oceansafe can be used in conjunction with any paving surface . For the installation on 135 Commercial Way , asphalt was used over the system . Oceansafe was awarded the 2011 Planning Commission Green Award by the City of Costa Mesa for our installation at our construction yard . Oceansafe has been installed at our own office for the past seven years and has worked flawlessly . The only maintenance cost has been for the replacement of two $ 100.00 filters after four years of use . 21
