The new seven-story , $ 480-million , 398,000 square-foot Torrance Memorial Replacement Tower replaces the hospital ’ s original tower . The new tower ’ s design is patient focused featuring family friendly lounges , an outdoor healing garden , and all-private patient rooms .
Five different Lithocrete finishes were used in the entry and courtyard including our new L . Q . S . finish , which blends granite aggregate and granite sand . L . Q . S . is more economical and smoother than typical hardscape finishes yet with a non-slip surface that is ideal for hospitals .
