Highlights from the GME Resident and Fellow Graduation
CDU’ s GME program graduated 20 residents at the annual graduation banquet on June 9, 2024, at the Marriott Marina Del Rey’ s Bayview Ballroom, a scenic 10th floor space overlooking the harbor, ocean and city. Four programs were represented, the first time all had gathered to celebrate graduating together, including CDU’ s Internal Medicine residency program, the Family Medicine residency program, the Psychiatry Residency program, and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry program.
Each cohort had its own cake, along with resident awards given for academic achievement, compassionate care, and community involvement. President David Carlisle and COM Dean Deborah Prothrow-Stith were on hand
to offer their accolades. The invocation was delivered by John Patton CDU General Counsel and Secretary, Board of Trustees. Dr. Dotun Ogunyemi was the host and MC. Music was provided by DJ Trey Money; Eric Dearborn photographed the event.
