4-Year medical students Distinguish Themselves( continued) Sydney Y. K. Brown was accepted to the highly competitive NIH-supported Summer Oncology Research Fellowship( SORF) Program at Children’ s Hospital Los Angeles( CHLA), and the Keck School of Medicine at USC. She will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on summer research experience in cutting edge topics in oncology and oncology-related fields to top medical students from schools all over the United States. This Program has been active continuously for over 40 years, and has had hundreds of graduates, many of whom have careers in oncology and oncology-related fields that include active successful research. The program is supported by a prestigious R25 grant from the National Cancer Institute at the NIH.
