COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
MISSION- Subcommittee A. Mission, Planning, Organization, Leadership, Administration, Academic and Learning environments( Standards 1-3 *) This subcommittee reviews and develops the overall structure and administration of the medical education program. RESOURCES- Subcommittee B. Educational Resources and Infrastructure( Standard 5 *) This subcommittee reviews and develops the overall resources, financing and facilities including resources for clinical instruction. FACULTY- Subcommittee C. Faculty preparation, productivity, participation and policies: Teaching supervision, assessment and student and patient safety( Standards 4 and 9 *) This subcommittee reviews and develops faculty related policies and teaching responsibilities. CURRICULUM- Subcommittee D. Competencies, curricular objectives, curricular design; Curricular Content; Curricular management, evaluation and enhancement( Standards 6, 7, and 8 *) This subcommittee reviews and develops the IMEP curriculum and how it is implemented and managed. STUDENTS- Subcommittee E. Medical students selection assignment and progress; Medical student academic support, career advising and educational records; Medical student Health Services, Personnel Counseling and Financial Aid Services( Standards 10, 11, and 12 *) This subcommittee reviews and develops all issues related to student needs. BASIC SCIENCE- Subcommittee F. Basic Sciences integration and research and related faculty development This subcommittee connecting with the other subcommittees is a special focus subcommittee of COM / CDU on issues of teaching basic science clinical science integration and the CDU research mission related to social determinants of health and research clusters. PARTNERSHIPS- Subcommittee G. Community and partnerships This is a special focus subcommittee of CDU concentrating on incorporating the CDU community mission and the need of our community are a central focus of the new program. The subcommittee also identifies partners( community and clinical / health care organizations that are needed for successful programs.
