DARKNESS
Cities today are so well lit, that they are visible from outer space. Our technological explosion has propelled us into the age of‘ day like’ white light that shines brilliantly from energy efficient LED lamps. People flock to cities like Las Vegas where the lights are bright, colourful and spectacular.
We live on a continuous high, because our bodies are intoxicated with light. We celebrate the fact that we have now firmly put the age of darkness behind us. But, have we really? Listen to Isaiah’ s prophecy.
Isaiah 60:2“ For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people …”
How could Isaiah be prophesying that there will be darkness in the age of light? Because physical light is very different from spiritual light.
