Fully God & Fully Man JESUS G God came in flesh and dwelt among us. His name was Jesus. It is difficult for us to understand how this could be but Jesus was truly fully man and fully God. The big question however is this. Was Jesus born knowing everything? Did He awake to consciousness knowing the names of everyone around Him and what their very thoughts were? It is clear from Scriptures that Jesus laid aside His God powers to live as an equal among men with no inherited advantage. As a human child, He had to learn like every other child (Heb. 5:8). He learned 24 | SHARE|MAGAZINE April - June 2016 to walk, talk and most importantly, to hear the voice of His Father (John 8:28 & 14:24). Luke 2:52 “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Here the Scriptures clearly reveals that Jesus wasn’t born all knowing. He grew in wisdom and in favour etc. in fact, at no point was He all knowing. As a man Jesus was dependent. He needed the Holy Spirit to lead Him and depended on His Father to teach Him. Jesus lived as a man to show us how to live.
