hear the expression “Man-Up” utilized so much, I frequently won-
der in what setting “man” is being utilized and what it truly says
about how society sees manliness all in all. My meaning of “man-up”
moves me to speak openly about my feelings and emotions [as a
young black man in 2019]. Its intentions allows us to act naturally and not
let the world’s view of a young man change my identity in general. Be that
as it may, most vital, it’s allowing me to be straightforward with myself
about where my torment and injury started, and how working through it
to helped me to recuperate and turn into the man I am today.
