are always on the front lines.
Guiding the magazine & run-
ning the after-school program,
miss Jae dedicates her time to
lead & grow AROA by helping
raise awareness of the youth’s
voice.

Team President
Joe hit the ground running with leading
the team as President. Developing ideas,
strategies, and being the overall voice of
the organization at his school and in his
community.
Rayana came onto the AROA
team as an intern and began
to serve immediately. Her
role includes coordinating the
magazine features, and oversee
the planning and implementa-
tion of feature interviews and
photography dates.

Operations and Marketing Intern
Mia is a gogetter. Joining the
organization and hitting the ground
running. Mia handles the operations
of AROA. Developing marketing
strategies, fundraiser and partner-
ship ideas.

IVORI, 17
Lead Journalist &
Photography Coordinator
Ivori is also known as the team’s
firecracker. She means what she
says and says what she means.
Her personality is a perfect fit
for the Lead Journalist role.
Ivori conducts interviews of our
featured stories. She is not afraid
to speak up and ask the touch
questions. She also coordinates
and schedules the photoshoots
for the magazine guests.

Fashion Stylist

Ayana keeps the team in style! Sharing her expertise on what is happening in the
fashion world. Keeping the team updated with the latest and putting a spin on
things by creating her own beautiful and innovative looks. Joining the team in
2017, Ayanna is the veteran of the youth team. And even though she is headed
to college to study Fashion Merchandising, we look forward to her continuous
expertise of creativity and design.

PAIGE HATHORN
Volunteer Intern
Journalist & Writer
Louisiana State University
Paige Hathorn is a senior at Louisiana State University
majoring in public relations and minoring in business
administration. Upon interning with A Round of Applause
Magazine, Paige has asisted with photoshoots, researched,
edited and written articles such as our “Sexual Abuse”
piece. She has also interned with Bread & Butter and Pre-
vent Child Abuse Louisiana. Her education in the Manship
School made her perfect for this position. Paige is a part of
the graduating class of 2019 and we will miss her dearly.
CORY KNIGHT

Cory Knight is a senior of the University of Houston-Downtown. He is currently aiming
for a Bachelor of Arts degree for Fine Arts, and will be graduating next year. Cory has
dedicated countless numbers of hours working as the Graphics Designer for A Roundo
of Applause Magazine. His time here at AROA has been amazing, volunteering to
support our mission by offering his services of building this publication. We are thrilled
to have had him on the team as he provided essential experience and amazing art that
contributed to bringing this magazine to life.
A Round of Applause Magazine is a 501(c)3
non-profit organization that empowers youth to rise,
create, evolve & imagine. Our after-school program supports
& develops the talents of aspiring writers, photographers,
journalists, fashion stylist, and graphic designers between the
ages of 13 - 19. The magazine is a bi-monthly publication that
provides a platform for young men and women, encouraging
them to speak out on issues, promote positive media, and
steer the powerful voice of their generation which can lead to
change in their communities.
