AROA ON THE COVER Koran told herself that she would eventually confront him but that was not the day. “I’m going to deal with it eventually but right now I have to fix myself and bring myself back to that level of confidence.” She later wrote a poem, titled “Sorry”, written for anyone who has ever blamed their selves for someone else actions. “Everything ties into each other from learning confidence, how to stay strong, being determined, having faith despite whatever obstacle it may be. These few aspects of life have molded me into who I am right now. I carry myself differently with a new sense of self-love. Pushing through challenges, learning to love myself, and speaking up for what I believe in is now a part of me. They will go on to hurt other people and if you’re anything like me you wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone else.”Her mother ran a salon inside of their house, where the family would spend hours talking on end about anything and everything. “She taught me how important it is to do something I loved, even if no one else believed in me.” Her father taught her how to hustle and helped her start her own business, Duncan’s Supreme Egg and Poultry where she sells free-range eggs, fruits and vegetables. “It’s just a hobby for me though but the self determination stays with me wherever I go.” “ Everything ties into each other from learning confidence, how to stay strong, being determined, having faith despite whatever obstacle it may be.
