project, she wants to take her time with it and not listen
to what anyone else has to say. “I went shopping for it
a couple weeks ago. Then, we had a photoshoot for the
line, I really wasn’t pleased with it. So, I said ‘nope, I’m
taking this back to the drawing board,’” Aaliyah says.
People encouraged her to release it on the anniversa-
ry of her book release but she knew she would not be
comfortable with doing that. “It’s not ready and I really
don’t want to rush the process this time around,” Aali-
yah said.
Shaping the Future for teen entrepreneurs
Her clothing line is for everybody: boys, girls, women
and men. There also may be another book in the works
for Aaliyah that would be based on football and the daily
lives of what athletes go through. “Since I am with these
guys 24/7 I witness the good, bad, ups and downs these
guys go through,” she says.
