So with enough land any martyr might forgive these trespasses, but we are tribes that do not share promises. Peace is also not just so many stories of sacrifice, the one revenge dying into the other as much as men seeing nothing in a place to kill for. Hope waits at the bottom of a moment’s jar to be raised by those who know how to play a music they have never heard: peace. This sky blue demand, this ambit claim. 51
