Nada Takes Stock
Jose Angel Araguz
Nada turns out the pockets of her jeans,
empty, but for a scraggle of lint,
thinks how pockets have held her passing fortune,
like the heart her passing life,
and lungs her passing breath, then passes on
these words, which she considers coins.
