Summer is coming, and so are higher prices
Summary of article:
Due to the drop in Canadian currency, the imports into Canada have been more expensive. This causes the government to increase the prices of common supplies within Canada. They have increased the prices of food items, clothing, footwear, and toiletries have all increased in price due to the Canadian dollar being worth less. Many of the supplies such as meat was increased 12.4 percent and vegetable we up about 8.4 percent. The economists predict that the prices of supplies have increase by almost 0.8 percent and can increase up till 6 percent by next year. This drop in value of the dollar has also led to decrease in retail sales because there are less people purchasing items due to items being more costly. The prices of all these common supplies have increased because Canada is paying more for imports and this makes the supplies more expensive, so that government get some overall profit.
