How to believe and not question so much ?
By Paul Hinsberger

There is a question that we encounter every once in a while in our workshops and that is : “ How to believe and not question so much ? Coming from a structured religious background ....”

I love questions like this ! The reason is that it shows a desire to shift from a high Mental Way of Being to an Heart Way of Being . This is a very good thing !
Mike Williams , author of Follow the Shaman ' s Call : An Ancient Path for Modern Lives writes :
In prehistoric times , it is likely that all people were shamanic ; it was not a separate skill that people learned and practiced , it was just always there : a part of everyday life . A few might have been exceptionally gifted , and these people were singled out as shamans , serving their communities as doctors , councilors , wisdom-keepers , and leaders .
As populations grew and people organized themselves into larger and larger groups , institutionalized priests replaced the community shamans and what had once started as a common and shared set of beliefs formed the kernel of new religions . These grew and developed until their shamanic origins were left far behind .
And there is also something interesting in here too : the Seeker has not considered the origins of their structured , religious background .
At sometime , someone began to Believe . Perhaps it was one of your ancestors ... and if they could do it , so can you ! Religions are based on Faith . Spiritual Practice is based on ... You !
