Love
By Jan Kirk
I am here to introduce Love into your hearts. How am I going to do that?
Well, actually I ' m not the one doing it. Great Spirit will fill your hearts; I ' m here to help you open to it.
I write from Jim Corbett, a beautiful National Park and Resort in India. I stand on the patio outside, looking at the rain and greenery.
The Resort is next to a flowing river, in the midst of lush greenery. On the other side of the river is jungle, where monkeys cross back and forth every day.
There is something for the monkeys on both sides of the river. And so it also is, for us.
It ' s raining very heavily now; it cools the air to a very pleasant temperature, and everything is moist and fertile. I stand, taking in the scenery, the pleasant air, the sound of birds … and most importantly I listen into the silence, into the sounds between sounds; I observe the space between the leaves, and experience the space between events.
To BE one with this time and place, it ' s important to withdraw from my senses, to become the space and become hollow. I have to be the one looking out of the eyes of my heart, instead of being in my eyes, like a youth driving a car for the first time. When I withdraw, I observe from my center and the strongest connection is possible.
