The Sand Museum is located on the road to Chamundi hills, in India, and is well worth a quick stop.
You can spend about an hour here if you like such stuff and take a leisurely stroll to enjoy each sculpture, but it is worth visiting even for the casual visitor.
All the sculptures are very detailed and beautiful, perhaps mixed with a little clay or some something like that to make them a little more solid as compared something done purely out of sand.
But 115 truckloads of sand and hundreds of hours of work by the young sculptor, Gowri, has resulted in a very beautiful display spread over more than 13000 square feet of space where some sculptures are 15 feet high !
