HERE IS HOW IT AFFECTS OUR BRAIN AND WHY

How it works on the brain. When MDMA enters in our body, it influences our brain by releasing norepinephrine (called stress hormone involves the brain areas dedicated to attention and reactions), dopamine (neurotransmitter that acts on the sympathetic nerve by increasing blood pressure and heart rate) and, above all, serotonin (a neurotransmitter that influences mood, sleep, sexuality and appetite) that, within 30-60 minutes of taking, leads us to a state of marked euphoria, accompanied by general well-being and happiness. In particular, MDMA stimulates empathy and links with people, alters the perception of time and induces hallucinations. The effect lasts a few hours (maximum 6 even if depending on the person can last more or less).

What happens when the effect passes. Once the real effect of ecstasy is over, residues remain in our body that lead us to experience different emotions during the following week: difficulty in remembering, anxiety, sadness, irritability and, in some cases, depression.

Risks of intake. The MDMA physically stimulates us to the point of making us lose the awareness of any physical efforts made, this is likely to have negative effects on the body, including hyperthermia (excessive increase in body temperature) that can cause damage to the muscles and kidneys, in addition to dehydrating us.
