We know that a strong workforce is what keeps our operations
reliable every hour of every day. Our investments support our local
and regional economy by providing jobs that can lead to stable and
fulfilling careers with family-sustaining wages and benefits.
Summer Jobs+ 2014 Initiative

Drink Tap in Schools

We provided employment opportunities for over
1,000 San Francisco youth and young adults from
San Francisco’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods.

The Drink Tap in Schools Initiative promotes drinking
tap water among school-aged children and youth
throughout the San Francisco Unified School District
(SFUSD). To date, 26 tap stations have been
installed. Nearly 20,000 students have received
a water bottle and learned about the SFPUC and
Hetch Hetchy water.
