DEAR CUSTOMERS AND STAKEHOLDERS,
Our ability to provide essential 24/7 water, power and sewer services
is due to proactive planning and continuous investment in our
infrastructure. But infrastructure alone doesn’t work without the
dedicated staff that maintains our operations. We also rely upon
collaborations with our community partners and our customers,
because we achieve more by working together.
We are in the midst of the hottest, driest four-year period on record
in California’s history. You are doing your part to conserve, as
San Franciscans are some of the most efficient water users in the
state. We continue to move forward critical projects to diversify our
water supply. Your support of our water, power and sewer system
projects is making our community more resilient with increased
seismic reliability, efficiency, and innovation.
In 2016 the future is bright. For years city services have depended
upon our 100% greenhouse gas-free Hetch Hetchy Power for their
electricity. Now new residents and businesses in The Shipyard are
enjoying this clean energy supply too. Everyone else can be a part
of our City’s clean energy future through CleanPowerSF.
We depend upon our strong partnerships to bolster our continued
success in providing the critical services that the San Francisco
Bay Area depends upon. On behalf of the San Francisco Public
Utilities Commission, I am pleased to present our Annual Financial
Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2015.
