the site. If you do wish to give us some money, we can assure you that it will not be spent on the team holding a massive rice-themed party, or spent on a big net to catch Aristide Bance and keep him at SFG Towers forever, but instead invested back into the website to make our coverage of African and Asian football even better.

A lot of effort has gone into making this, and for a blog that is not renowned for its slickness or its organisation, this is no simple task. None of us do this full-time. We are either students or young professionals navigating the murky initial years of full-blown adult life. We are not paid for what we do. It is purely for the love of the game and the spread of knowledge. The previews have been forensically peer-reviewed, and there have been countless meetings to plot it all.

We do African football the proper way, watching all the games we can get our hands on, giving it the exposure we believe it deserves. We go to great pains to ensure what we provide is quality and that we are not short-changing our audience. We hope the quality shows.

So if you're reading this and think, "eh, this is pretty good", we'd love for you to spread the SFG gospel. As long as people enjoy what we've done, all the times when we've been crouched over our laptops, straining our eyes at a grainy stream, enduring the poor work of the Togo state television camera man will be completely worth it.

Anyway, we're delighted to have you along for the ride, and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it. And we hope you enjoy the tournament!
