Christmas Tree

Simply run a triangle of washi tape up onto the wall in a tree shape and pop a bit of tape across it on a few angles to look a bit like tinsle (of the vey cool kind) and you're done - an instant tree! Why not let the kids do one on their bedroom wall? Check out the project under Craft/Celebrate.

Reindeer

You can buy little reindeers in discount stores and large craft/fabric stores such as LIncraft and Spotlight. Simply cover with Washi tape and you have a colourful stripey washi tape reindeer, so cute! Project is on the website under craft/celebrate. The kids could help with this project.

Christmas Cards

Washi tape is well know by card makers and is a fabulous material to work with for making cards. Run a simple piece of washi tape up the centre of the card, run a few bands across at a 90 degree angle to this, starting with a larger piece at the base and getting smaller at the top to make a Christmas tree shape. It's quick and simple and you won't need anything but washi tape and card stock. Of course if you have a die cut machine you can go crazy placing washi tape on shapes and die cutting them glueing them on.

Gift Tags

You can buy little paper luggage tags at paper shops and even office supplies stores, a simple piece of Wahsi tape across the base of these cards is enough to make them lovely for gift giving. Use contrasting tape to seal the parcel to, my favourite is brown paper with Washi tape for a simple and easy wrapping.

Washi tape is a decorative Japanese tape that is used for craft and card making. It is removable (from many surfaces) and comes in a massive range of colours and designs. It is often about 1cm thick but can be up to 3cm thick.
