Decorations

If you're into sparkly you can use sparkles in glass baubles, like the feather one you'll find in the mag. If you like natural you can use jute and hessian - a few luggage tag shapes cut out and decorated look fabulous. You can use clay, you'll find a great project on the website to inspire you... You can buy baubles or make them yourelf by buying foam or cardboard ones and decorating them.

Christmas Table

What are you having on your Christmas table this year? I'm still trying to decide myself, I have made some clay decorations to hang on the napkins as napkin rings.... Are you going traditional and using holly and candles or are you going more contemporary? Check out the little sand bottles I made - they would be cute as table decorations for the beachy look - or make some frangipani's for the table. I'm thinking a tree branch with some frangipani decorations (project on the site) would be gorgeous and maybe a few bottles hanging from it too... hmmm so much choice!

Colours

Red and Green? White and Silver? Beachy blues and aqua? Maybe silver and gold? The choices are endless and the decorating options they give are fabulous! Think about table runners or cloths, placemats, napkins, christmas tree decorations, wreaths, bunting and of course the presents, santa sacks and gift wrapping - it can all be colour co-ordinated so the whole effect is simply stunning. I think I'm going for beachy with natural based colours like white and a hint of blue and aqua - a bit like the feather baubles. It's hot in Sydney at Christmas so I thought this year beachy's the thing. Brights are very in and look fabulous next to the green of (most) trees and crisp white also looks wonderful. You really can't go wrong with traditional red either they look amazing next to a green tree and if you're one of my overseas members and it's cold for you - this is a warm and welcoming combination, as are silvers and golds - enjoy deciding!

Christmas Fair

I wonder what you're eating this year for Christmas lunch? I'm going to combine traditional with modern - I love a Christmas turkey and my favourite is ricotta and lavender underneath the turkey skin with a pancetta and pistachio stuffing, also roasted pork with sage, quince paste and proscuitto with macadamia nut and fig stuffing. We'll be having a quinoa sald with pomegranate and pistachio's. What are you having?
