OLD TOY

Has your little got a special toy that looks like the velveteen rabbit? As you can see my little girl has a bunny she loves, we gave him a spruce up and here are out step by steps on how to do it.

M

Remove old stuffing

Your soft toy may not need the stuffing replaced, but if it does then unpick a spot on the toy that won't be seen or will be easy to resew. I chose the back of this Bunny just below the neck so it was onl yone seam and with matching thread it won't be obvious later. Unpick enough (about 6cm) to be able to put your hand in a little and remove the stuffing. We decided we weren't plastic surgeons so left the stuff in his nose alone so we wouldn't change the shape of his face.

ake sure your little one is okay with you taking their favourite somebody to a day spa by involving them in the process (not all kids will want to know... your child, you know best!). If they are okay with it, then letting them help during the process will ensure they keep being ok will you pick a hole and take the stuffing out and then wash and dry it. It can be fun and you can make quite enjoyable for them by getting them to play day spa therapist with you. you'll have the added bonus of being able to take it out into public again without being so embarrassed.
