There is hope for our lagoons and Vey nou Lagon will be a critical part of the effort to protect and restore them. Like other small islands around the world, Mauritius requires only the right tools and partnerships to protect the environment, grow our economy, and enrich livelihoods. 2016 could be the start of something new for the Mauritian lagoons. The tides could be changing, and we hope that this new wave of efforts brings us the baby octopus, tec-tecs, and vibrant lagoons we remember as children.
