WHAT ’ S THE MATTER ?

So , what is going on inside our heads that makes us so vulnerable ? Even though the brain reaches adult size by about 8 or 9 years old , it is still changing . All we need to do is scale it down to a microscopic level .
Zooming in
There are two types of matter in our brains , grey matter and white matter . Grey matter contains cell bodies and synapses and white matter contains axons . As we get older , white matter levels rise by 1 % per year and grey matter levels decrease 1.5 % per year !
