He is the Head of the School of Cosmology and
Gravitational Astrophysics. He also worked with
the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave
Observatory (LIGO) and contributed to the
discovery of gravitational waves, which won the
2017 Nobel Prize in Physics.
He gave two talks, and his first was about
cosmology, with particular attention to dark
matter and dark energy. Our interview followed
up this talk, and we took the opportunity to
find out more about dark energy.
