Our goal in JMUN is to learn about the United Nations and become experts on world problems. I chose the JMUN club because I’ m interested in world problems. I think JMUN is an amazing club because we get to learn about world problems and try to solve them. I think the biggest advantage of JMUN is that we are going to work with kids who are from different countries in New York. That’ s why I think JMUN is a wonderful club.

JMUN is one of the important clubs in our school. I thought joining this club would teach me responsibility. JMUN means Junior Model United Nations. I also joined this club because I thought this club would help me improve my English and I also like that I will get to go to other countries with my team. In JMUN they assign us countries and we become representatives for those countries in conferences. Then we learn about a topic and about committees. My committee is UNESCO. In my committee we do research and discuss stuff. I have already learnt many new worlds in this club. JMUN representatives don’ t use daily language. For example if we want to ask questions we have to say“ point of information”. Clearly, being in this club has already improved my vocabulary. To sum up, I think I have made a good choice this year!

In my opinion JMUN is an amazing experience. It has increased my awareness of what is happening in the world. It helps us understand the world. In this club our English speaking and writing skills improve. In JMUN we attend conferences where we can make friends with students from different countries and explore new places. The best thing about JMUN is“ the three F’ s” fun, food and friends!

I chose the JMUN club because I like to discuss world issues with other children at our age from all over the world in conferences. We represent a country and debate on world problems to solve some of them! Our skills in English are sure to improve through our work in this club. We have already started to learn“ the conference language” which is really different from“ normal” English! We are also going to write many speeches and present our countries’ views in the conferences. At the end of the year, we will go to New York and spend time with our friends there during the conference. I am looking forward to it very much. I’ m sure it will be a great experience and I love being in this club!

This year I have chosen to be a member of the JMUN team. When we were thinking about choosing clubs, I spoke to some 8th graders who were on that team last year and all of them encouraged me to join the JMUN. Not a single one of them said anything negative about it. I also asked the JMUN teachers for information. I understood that participating in JMUN would probably improve my English skills. JMUN is a serious club and we discuss world problems and political ideas with our peers. At first, I thought it will be too hard, but then I decided that it would be a good experience for me. And now, fortunately I am a member of the JMUN team! I love my club. My goal is to do my best. Even if we don’ t win any prizes, I will be so happy.

The United Nations( UN) is an intergovernmental organization founded to promote international co-operation. JMUN is a club where children attempt to find solutions to world problems. It is like a UN game where children play a role. That is why I like it. As a JMUN representative we learn about countries and ideas. I chose to join the JMUN because I wanted to try to find solutions to world problems. I want our world to become a better place for all of us. I think children can sometimes find solutions that adults cannot see. My goal is to make the world better for the future generations.
